Things I learned in 2023

  1. Face muscles are the only muscles directly attached to the skin.

  2. Flint forms in nodules, which take the shape of marine animal burrows from 80MA. These burrows would fill with chalk, and flint would form in a sedimentary process.

  3. The universe is beige. Cosmic latte, “the average color of the universe as perceived from the Earth.” In hex, #FFF8E7.
